Benefits of Pre-insulated Ducts in Different Industries

Pre-insulated ducts are used in the HVAC or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. They carry the modulated air from the system to all parts/rooms/zones of a building which may be a home or a commercial establishment. Pre-insulated ducts provide for better control of temperature and also offer other unique advantages.

Lesser Frictional Loss

The pre-insulated ducts have the least number of flanges. The roughness of their surface is also quite reduced. That is why they provide for the least of frictional losses.

Safety

The high quality ducts use quality materials in their built and can resist both fire and smoke. They comply with the international building code requirements  and offer least toxicity and opacity as well.

Energy Saving

These ducts consist of thermal insulation and also have an air-tight seal that can well exploit the capacity of the air handling unit. Hence, the ducts provide for low operational costs and high efficiency.

Silent Operation

The ducts have a unique sandwich structure, which has 2 metal sheets on either side and an insulating material in between. The insulation prevents all kinds of reverberations and vibrations and provides for better acoustical control in both offices and residences.

Thermal Insulation

The pre-insulated ducts have continuous and constant thermal insulation property in all sections of their built. The insulators have the closed-cell insulation feature that provides for lowering of condensation and lowest thermal conductivity as well. Variable air volume system manufacturers can provide you good quality ducts that have greatest thermal insulation properties.

Hygiene

The use of these ducts provides for better cleanliness and hygiene. The ducts do not age and release undesired particles and are hence quite reliable in long-term as well.

Light In Weight

The ducts are quite light-in-weight. Hence, they can be easily installed on the supporting points, structures and do not cast high weight on them. The use of these ducts also provides for lower workmanship costs as well.

Ease Of Construction

These ducts can be very easily manufactured and customized at the job sites. This provides for ease of installation and lesser transportation costs.

Corrosion Resistance

All parts of a ducting system are always exposed to environmental and other corrosion-causing substances. These ducts can provide for reliable service and do not corrode in any way even after long time intervals.

What You Need to Know about the Pre-Insulated Ducts

The pre-insulated ducts offer great cost efficiency. They can retain greater heat and hence help you to save on your energy and electricity consumption costs. The ducts use the rigid kind of polyurethane foam and are laminated on either of their sides with an aluminum foil. Polyurethane is chemically and physiologically inert and is also un-soluble.

The foam pre-insulated ducts are a better alternative to the older sheet-metal ductworks.

Benefits of pre-insulated ducts
The ducts are light in weight. They can be very easily installed in any room or zone. Their installation is also quite cost effective and requires the least of time.

No air leakage
Pre-insulated ducts help prevent any kind of air leakages. They hence improve the efficiency of your HVAC or heating, ventilation and air conditioning system and provide you an efficient system that runs in an optimal manner, for decades to come, with least of maintenance.

No sweating
The insulation provided in the ducts is of greatest of density. The system is hence devoid of any kind of sweating.

Clean and hygienic
The modern pre-insulated ducts do not contain any kind of fibrous materials. Hence, any kind of dirt and filth cannot attach itself to the systems. They are quite improved with respect to their hygienic aspects as well. The ducts can also resist any kind of fungal growth and offer clean and hygienic air to all areas.

Cost saving
The efficient pre-insulated ducts help in saving of costs related to electricity. You can save up to 30% on your energy bills by integrating them into your HVAC system.

Great built features

The self-supporting pre-insulated ducts have great rigidity and integrity. They use high quality materials and do not suffer from corrosion and other adverse effects of an operational environment, for longer time periods.

No size limit
The ducts are now available in almost all kinds of sizes. They can hence be integrated with any kind of ducting system of an HVAC unit.
Pre-insulated ducts offer a number of advantages. Leading and renowned suppliers of perforated ceiling diffusers in Iran like Bin Dasmal can provide you with best pre-insulated ducts. They are a great innovation and can be used for hygienic and clean air supply.

Why do VAV box suppliers encourage owners to retrofit to DDC controls?

Variable air volume boxes as a part of HVAC systems in a building or facility have been in use for a long time. For more than thirty years variable air volume units have been providing comfort in the form of perfectly conditioned air to hundreds if not thousands of people at a time who are all located in the same open air space.

In today’s market you will find many different kinds of variable air volume boxes today. If you are on the lookout for HVAC items such as these, and others such as displacement units, all you have to do is look for the right VAV box suppliers. If you are able to find reliable and highly reputable VAV box suppliers then you will find that they stock variable air volume systems of all natures, that are suited to different purposes and load capacities. On the flip side, if you are working with a lot of variable air volume boxes then you will find a wider range of such systems, dating from years ago to brand new variable air volume system.

Some of these variable air volume boxes will be simple shutoff systems, while others will be more technologically advanced. The vast majority of them, however, will be in need of some sort of repair or replacement, especially in terms of the controls. If the controls on a variable air volume system are not reliable, then the entire system is not reliable. For this very reason many VAV box suppliers will recommend that, instead of constantly repairing and testing the system, building owners and contractors retrofit their existing VAV box with pressure independent DDC controls. This is particularly beneficial when dealing with older VAV boxes with electronic controls. Some of the many benefits of retrofitting with DDC are:

1. Improved Function:
DDC controls enable users to see operational variables which allow for more accurate and controlled heating and cooling responses.

2. Improved Efficiency:
DDC controls also allow users to make more accurate adjustments in different modes.

3. Improved Overall Efficiency:
Installing a whole system of DDC VAV boxes will provide feedback which can help optimize fan operation and reduce energy consumption.

VAV boxes have a lot to gain from being retrofitted with DDC controls, and the biggest bonus to this are the long term energy savings which amount to a significant sum.

A Brief Summary on Residential Air Diffusers: Swirl Diffusers & More.

Air diffusers are one of the many components and parts of a HVAC system that are sold by HVAc and ducting suppliers. Their primary function is to vent air conditioned air into a room. The most commonly spotted air diffusers in the region are the square ceiling diffusers seen in all centralized air conditioned systems in residential buildings, offices, and houses.

There are many different types of air diffusers. They are manufactured in a variety of designs and sizes, and the most common ones have fins that direct the outward flow of air in a certain way. The ceiling diffusers mentioned above are certainly very popular but other types of diffusers such as swirl diffusers and perforated ceiling diffusers perform the same in slightly different ways. The main reason so many different designs of air diffusers exist is because certain designs are more suited towards certain air replacement or introduction requirements. For example, in the pharmaceutical industry, an air diffuser that mixes clean and conditioned air with used air is highly undesirable. This is because the used air in plants such as these is full of contaminants and pollutants. An air diffuser that introduces air in such a way so as to replace the contaminated air is desired.

Another reason swirl diffusers and the like are important is because they facilitate the even cooling or heating of an indoor space. Although diffusers are seen as ornamental covers for duct openings, their function is important and allows for even air distribution and ventilation. Another forgotten factor about air diffusers is that they, unlike window air conditioners for instance, provide a much quieter release of clean air. They do this by slowing down the release of air into the interior of a space and directing it to all areas of the room.

Air diffusers are usually easily installed and detached from the vents in residential and commercial buildings. However, they are not to be tampered with or have their flow obstructed because this can lead to poor air quality and might even damage the surrounding ductwork. If there is a need to remove a diffuser always be sure to replace or you might risk compromising your quality of life.
