Garage Door Opener : Which One to Choose

There are many different kinds of garage doors in Dubai, which have different kinds of openers. While choosing garage door opener for your industrial, commercial or residential setting, the main consideration is the drive type. The drive type of a garage door opener is the belt, chain or another mechanism that actually moves to lift or opens the door.

Different drive options available

Chain drive
Chain drive is the most durable and easily available option. The chain drive consists of a metal chain that is fitted on the sprocket and provides for the opening and closure of the garage doors. The only drawback of the chain drive garage door opener is the noise that its operation causes. They are very affordable, on the other hand. Chain drives are best suited for the heavier garage doors. They suit the wooden doors, the over sized doors and the insulated and the wind doors as well.

The new and modern chain drive models have chain separators, and they help in the stoppage of chain so that it does not hit against the usual track. This results in lesser noise.

Screw drives
The screw-drive of a garage door uses a long metal rod which is threaded, resembling a screw. The drive has a very few number of moving parts and is quite reliable. They do not have much operation noise.

Belt drives
The belt drive garage door openers have a rubber belt that is fitted on a cog. These provide for a very quiet operation, as the garage door opener has any kind of banging and loud interaction of the metal parts.

Direct drive and the jackshaft openers
These garage door Dubai openers have been gaining huge popularity these days. The jackshaft openers are attached directly to the garage’s front wall. Hence, there are no parts placed on the overhead area of the garage. The models use the cables that are directly attached to the garage door. This is a computerized system and many models also have an automatic “deadbolt” that gets locked completely when the garage door closes. This provides for better safety. These doors are very compact and are also fully computerized, and hence are the most expensive. They have a cable system for operation and hence can only be used on the sectioned garage-doors.

Ask Your PPR Supplier in Qatar Which Plastics are Safe to Use.

Plastic safety is a real issue across all imaginable industries and areas of use. For the longest time, people used glass or tin or even wood to store perishables and other items such as water, toys, even clothing. Since the invention of plastic came into being, more and more people turn to this material that is at once highly disposable and highly reusable at the same time. There is a danger to this kind of usage that many people are not aware of. Certain plastic materials are not to be reused and in some cases - such as a plastic water bottle being left in a hot car for hours or days - the plastic can leach toxins into the item or items it contains. Not all plastics behave this way so it is important to distinguish which should be used and which should not, which is why it is an excellent idea to ask your PPR supplier in Qatar if their products are safe to use and buy.

PPR or as it is sometimes called, PP, stands for Polypropylene. This plastic is a modified polymer that is frequently used by several manufacturers spanning multiple industries that product toys, baby bottles, even drinking straws and food containers. The production of PPR is of paramount importance to its safety. When purchasing items like baby bottles, always ensure that they are bought from reputable stores and suppliers. Although it may seem like a small matter for a small specialized business, any PPR supplier in Qatar should be able to show that their products are of a high quality, just the same as would be expected of a lifting equipment manufacturer in Qatar.

Good quality PPR has been shown to not leach harmful chemicals. Bisphenol A (or BPA) is a concern for many. There need not be a concern about this leeching into your water or food or other delicate supplies as long as you can check the recycling code. Only recycling code #7 has the potential to leach BPA. PPR can thus be safely used for several sensitive applications.
