Why APLACO CPVC Fittings are often Preferred over Copper Pipes

There have been many instances lately where both home owners and building contractors are taking to APLACO CPVC fittings and pipe systems over copper pipes and fittings. In a place where AC companies charge a lot for the installation of HVAC systems, there are many good reasons why this affordable trend might be overtaking the market.

APLACO CPVC fittings and pipes are chlorinated polyvinyl pipes that are some of the most widely used pipes in the whole world. Not only are these pipes among the top choices for builders, owners, and contractors alike, but they are also used in a variety of applications throughout the majority of industries.

The reasons for the popularity of CPVC pipes and fittings are exceedingly clear. Chlorinated polyvinyl pipes offer several benefits to both the builder and the contractor by being very easy to install and join. These pipes offer a lot of ease and time saving benefits since joining two pipes together only requires some glue. The installation of CPVC piping is regulated and approved of by most building authorities and ministries.

In recent times, CPVC has been used as a replacement for copper pipes that transport drinking water. CPVC is non reactive and non toxic, making it ideal for the transportation of water especially since the polymer is also able to withstand the flow of water at high temperatures until about 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The pipes are also fairly resilient and can handle a high flow and pressure system of water.

CPVC is compatible with many different uses, which is evidenced by its wide use across the world. However, CPVC pipes cannot be used with a variety of chemicals which can alter the chemical composition of the pipe itself. In worst case scenarios, CPVC pipes can even explode from misuse.

Apart from this one drawback, CPVC piping is considered by many to be better than copper piping because of its resistance to corrosion from climatic conditions, temperature, and water pressure. CPVC pipes and fittings are therefore the most popular ones used in the supply of water.

CPVC piping is also a very cost effective piping system compared to almost all other pipe and fittings materials. Combined with all the other advantages of CPVC, it is easy to see why it is preferred to copper.
