What You Need to Know about Glass Wool Insulation

Glass fibers are used for making the glass wool insulation in UAE material. The glass fibers are made by using a glass wool binder and the resultant mixture of materials, which resembles wool. Through the process, a number of small air pockets are included within the fiberglass. The thermal insulation property of the material is because of these air pockets. Glass wool can be easily applied to any surface, for imparting its thermal insulating properties. It can also be sprayed on the surface, for attaining the same insulation benefits.
How Is Glass Wool Manufactured
Recycled glass and natural sand are mixed with each other at a temperature of around 1450 degree Celsius. The glass, thus produced is then converted in the form of fibers. Centripetal force is used for creating a fine mesh of particles, which are then cooled when they come in contact with air. A binder is added to the material, which holds the fiber material together and also imparts it with mechanical and cohesive strength. The fiber mat is subsequently heated at a temperature of 200 degree Celsius, which polymerizes the resins. At the last stage of glass wool processing, the wool is packed in the form of rolls/panels, under higher pressure. The end, or the finished product is then palletized, so that it can be easily stored or transported.
Uses Of Glass Wool Insulation In UAE
Glass wool insulation in UAE is used for providing insulation property to a number of materials like curtain walls, ceiling tiles for cavity wall insulations and for ducting insulation. They are hence used for insulating the ducts of HVAC or heating, ventilation and air conditioning units that provide for air modulation in homes and commercial settings. They are also used for insulating pipes in the plumbing systems, so that they do not produce uncomfortable levels of sound. The plumbing systems that are used in offices and other commercial areas, and homes, may use glass wool for the purpose of sound damping. PPR pipes fittings suppliers also supply high-quality glass wool materials. As fiberglass wool can resist all kinds of molds growth, it is a more hygienic insulation material as well.
